I had always wanted to visit Fortune Island and see the famous Grecian pillars that overlook the sea. When Travel Factor announced a trip to the island, I immediately signed-up for it. We met early morning in Ortigas and took a van to Nasugbu, Batangas the kick-off point for the island.
We arrived in less than an hour. I was excited when we had begun to see the pillars in the distance. The island had been developed into a resort but did not finish and most you can see here are ruins. The side of the island facing Nasugbu has a beach for swimming and relaxing while the “back” of the island has a spot for cliff jumping. I jumped off the shortest distance since I am not the most confident in my swimming skills.
The island can be toured in less than an hour. We mostly had fun climbing up and taking photos of the pillars that looked like Grecian ruins. Lunch was prepared by the tour group and after that, we had some time to swim and take naps. We left later in the afternoon back to Manila.
